LADyR: the lab for networks

Welcome to the Laboratorio de Algoritmia Distribuida y Redes (Distributed Algorithms and Networks Laboratory -- LADyR) web site. This laboratory is part of the Grupo de Sistemas y Comunicaciones (Systems and Communications Group -- GSyC) at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, located in Móstoles, near Madrid (Spain).

The LADyR research group exists since 1998. Its staff is composed of faculty, post-doctoral researchers, and graduate and undergraduate students. The research activities carried out by the LADyR deal with novel paradigms and techniques for analyzing and synthesizing networked systems and servicies. Currently, those activities are concentrated on a well defined set of areas including:

  • Information Extraction from unstructured web pages
  • Design of overlays for P2P Applications
  • Mobile systems and services
  • Applications of Game Theory for the design of protocols and mechanisms
  • Distributed-fault tolerant systems
